JOB OPENING


We are looking for a Key Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our merchants. The Key Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned merchants, develop new business from existing merchants and actively seek new sales opportunities.

Your day-to-day would include:

• Operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your assigned merchants.
• Set up and product training for AVANA Platform.
• Conduct merchant workshops for potential leads and existing merchants.
•Develop online shopper insights and support strategies and plans that deliver category growth based on online consumer, shopper and online customer requirements.
• Develop and propose the online picture of success for the category. Support its implementation and continuously review the effectiveness of online activities.
• Develop and strategize media buying for Facebook, Instagram and Google Shopping Ads.
• Consultation on location when requested.
• Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting merchant relationships.
• Generate new business using existing and potential merchant networks.
• Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
• Specific areas of focus will be managing relationships and capabilities to enhance consumer value and accelerate growth. This includes data/measurement, customer activations, sales planning and operations.
• Leverage data & experience to pull out business trends to share internally and with the customer, continuously develop & measure test & learns.
•Participate in merchant engagement activities such as roadshows, guest speaker role etc.

Key KPIs:

• Work with assigned merchants to grow their MoM sales.
• Develop on-trend strategies to help merchant scale their business reach.
• Learn and educate the team, merchants and partners about the latest updates in the industry.
• Troubleshoot with merchants to identify their pain points and plan for a solution.
• Feedback user experience to the team for continuous rapid improvement to platform.

What you should have on you:

• Proven work experience as a Sales Account Manager or Sales Account Executive.
• Hands on experience in sales in an eCommerce industry.
• Knowledge of eCommerce /online sales is compulsory and to continuously keep up-to-date with the latest trends, features insights.
• Familiarity of sales performance metrics.
• An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time.
• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field.
• Sales Planning Expertise – ability to manage/measure sales planning, coordinating with B&M teams and leading customer activation/site experience with cross-functional leads.
• Customer management experience – as evidenced by previous roles with responsibility for customer strategy and execution.
• Strong analytical skills – as evidenced by high intelligence and previous ownership of comprehensive analytical tasks and projects.
• Marketing expertise – as evidenced by having supported the development and execution of marketing programs as well as partnering with brands on product innovation.
• Planning skills - as evidenced by the capability to develop tools such as annual plans and forecasts that incorporate Sales and Marketing input.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities – as evidenced by a track record of finding feasible solutions to complex problems, especially in an environment with incomplete information and tight timelines.
• Sound communication skills – as evidenced by the ability to educate and influence management and staff to act in the best interest of internal and external stakeholders through written and verbal communications.
• Resilience – as evidenced by the courage to maintain a positive attitude when faced with obstacles and the willingness to develop alternative approaches to overcome them.
• Bias for action – as evidenced by a track record of taking decisions to drive the interests of the business while still maintaining the highest levels of rigour and compliance.
• People who think big, solve problems and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
